With The First Pick, The Detroit Lions Take Matt Stafford

According to Jay Glazer of Foxsports.com the Detroit Lions have come to a deal with Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford. According to Glazer the Lions and Stafford have agreed to a deal that is good for $40 million dollars. The only thing left for the two parties is working out how the deal will be structured.

The signing of Stafford helps other teams to mold their draft strategy for tomorrow. In addition, setting the mark at $40 million allows teams to know the salary range they can expect to pay for their first round draft picks.
