LeBron James Signs With The New Jersey Nets

If Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov has anything to say about it, that will be the headline across sports pages nation wide come July 8th. The first year owner of the New Jersey Nets is known for his brash ways, and in his first NBA free agency season he is wasting no time attempting to make a big splash by landing the biggest free agent on the market.

Prokhorov wasted no time firing the first warning shot Thursday morning when he unveiled a sky scrapper style banner on 8th ave. in New York City. The building also happens to be mere steps away from Madison Square Garden, the home of the New York Knicks. Another team that has been in the LeBron James sweepstakes for over two year's now. The Knick's have written to the NBA stating the poster is intimidating, what do you expect, Jay Z is an ex gangsta and Prokhorov is a current one?

While the Knicks worry about the giant mural, the Nets are busy pushing the full court press on LeBron. Jay Z has set down with im on several occasion over the past few weeks, and the Nets private plane is currently in Cleveland.

While all the hype surrounding this year's free agency is seeming to fall flat, it is always nice to call back on crazy owners to spice things up.
