2008 Summer Olympics Day 6-The Upset

Day 6 of the 2008 Olympics has to be considered the day of the upset. No, don't worry Phelps is still on pace to shatter every record known to man. The upset came on the tennis court. American James Blake defeated Roger Federer in the quarter finials. This lost is more interesting in the world outside the Olympics than in. Blake is an American athlete who has always been on the cusp but could never seem to get the big win to put him over the edge. Perhaps today's win will give him the push he needs going into next months U.S. Open. On the other side, Federer continues his downward spiral, (I hate to use that term with him). No matter what you want to call it, there is no doubt that he is limping into the U.S. Open.

On another court, the Redeem Team managed to avenge one o
f their recent losses by defeating Greece in a convincing 92-62 victory. The win makes up for Greece destroying the United States at the World Championships by using pick & roll basketball.

Elsewhere the battle between the United States and China continue their battle on the gymnastics front with China taking home the gold in the all around.
